Zuiyo
ZUIYO Co., Ltd., established in 1867 in Kawashiri, Minami-ward, Kumamoto City, flourished as a town where rice harvests were collected and stored under Hosokawa rule at the time. ZUIYO was one of the first sake breweries in Kumamoto Prefecture. As a key player in the establishment of the Kumamoto Prefecture Sake Institute in 1909, it has been a driving force in Kumamoto's sake production ever since. It continues to produce sake with a rich and well-balanced flavor, like its 'Zuiyo' brand, by valuing quality rice and water from locals, and maintaining the traditional sake brewing techniques.
